I have been "nesting" for a while. I am not one of those that "nests" right before the baby comes, I "nest" for about the entire last trimester (or if you ask my husband I have been nesting since I found out we were having a girl). It gets a little frustrating because my 2-year-old doesn't understand my need to have everything spotless all the time, and bathrooms are a challenge because he is potty-trained, but not exactly careful.
With my son, I didn't do much decorating of the nursery. I am not sure why. Maybe because he was a boy? Maybe because I didn't know what I needed/wanted until after he was born? Whatever the reason, this time "nesting" has also involved a little decorating. Most of the things are things I had already, and I really haven't gone overboard at all, but I wanted to share her crib set up because it is just too cute!

My first baby loved to be swaddled. We got a sleep sack for him that is made from fleece, but I figured it would be too hot for most of the summer with this baby. After looking around at different options, I decided to make 2 of these gauzy baby blankets for swaddling during the hot summer.

I am in the process of decorating the nursery for my baby girl due who is due in 2 months! I have had the plan for a long time, but going to a craft store by myself with a 2-year-old is not enjoyable, but I finally got around to getting some embroidery hoops.

During the first few days of potty-training my son, I needed something to do to occupy my time yet was easy enough to look away from if I heard water hitting the floor. I found a Teach Yourself to Cross Stitch kit in one of my boxes that I had started a while (as in multiple years) ago, so I decided to finish it.

I have a love/hate relationship with minky fabric. I love the way it looks and feels, but I am not a huge fan of sewing with it. It slips when sewing and it is stretchy so it is difficult to get an accurate measurement when cutting. However, I decided to make a minky blanket for our little girl.
