When I found out I was pregnant with my son, I was sure I was having a girl. I went to the store and bought pink and purple yarn to make a baby blanket. Well, it turns out I had a boy. Once I found out I was having a boy, I put the project away. A few weeks ago I found it and decided to finish it for a friend who is having a girl...
The pattern is really easy. I used a size K hook and 3 colors of yarn (pink, purple, and white). I don't remember how many stitches across, but just chain until you think it is wide enough.
Rows 1-4 (pink): double chrochet
Rows 5-6 (white): triple crochet
Rows 7-10 (purple): double crochet
Rows 11-12 (white): triple crochet
Repeat this pattern until it is long enough. End with purple.
Essentially, double crochet four rows with one color, triple crochet two rows with white, and then double crochet 4 rows with the other color, go back to white, and repeat until the end. Pretty simple, and very pretty!
